Cheese description:

Scamorza Affumicata is a traditional Italian cheese of the Pasta Filata category and is made of cow's milk. The "affumicata" part of its name means "smoked" in Italian, which refers to the smoking process that gives this cheese its unique flavor and golden-brown rind. It is a semi-soft cheese that has a smooth, firm texture and a sweet creamy taste. Scamorza is an unusual type of cheese. Its shape reminds a pear or number 8 and determines its name, which comes from the phrase “capa mozza” - “cut off head”.

Scamorza Affumicata can be enjoyed on its own, melted over dishes like pizza or pasta, or paired with meats and vegetables. Its versatility and distinctive flavor make it a favorite in many Italian recipes.
